Autism Career Pathways announces the Better Community™ Program event and focus for Autism Awareness Month

In recognition of April as Autism Awareness month, ACP is highlighting the work and progress of our program Better Community™. While the program will be our focus for all April communications, this effort culminates with our Better Community™ broadcast event on Monday April 18, Wednesday April 20, and Friday April 20, 2022. This three day broadcast event will showcase why Better Community™ is needed, a overview of the certification process itself, interviews with certified businesses, and what is the return for investment for certified business.

The Better Community™ Project is a workplace certification program that aims to educate, engage, and empower businesses to create sensory and communication accommodations suitable their business and culture. With a greater understanding of neurodivergence, businesses can create their own meaningful and inclusive culture while expanding market reach within their communities by earning the Better Community™ Business Certification.

Companies that meet the standards of the Project’s autism and sensory-inclusive protocol receive the Better Community Project Certification to add an additional network to market their own business. Certified businesses receive a digital and physical certificate to place on their website, in their window as well as on the ACP website as one of the Project’s certificants.

Autism Career Pathways is a 501(c)3 whose mission is to increase employment for people with autism via business inclusion training, career assessment screening, and career readiness training.
