Rebranded ACP Career Screening Assessment Tool Ready for Beta Testing
Redwood City, CA April 14, 2021
Autism Career Pathways are very pleased to announce that we have completed the pilot trials of our Career Screening Tool, finalized the procedural manuscript and are actively seeking to partner with small to medium business local to the San Francisco Bay Area to assist us in the Beta Testing of the protocol development.
The Career Assessment Screening program has now been rebranded as the Career Assessment Protocol for Abilities Beyond Labels, or CAPABL. The development of the CAPABL tool was inspired by the need to find a new way for employers to more appropriately and accurately evaluate neurodiverse job applicants who may have communicational challenges. In a recent study, approximately 65% of autistic adults say that the in-person job interview is the single biggest obstacle to gaining employment, despite their credentials. The screening protocol utilizes age-appropriate activities designed to identify current baselines in candidate’s skills, aptitudes, interests, independence, self-regulation, mindful decision-makings and social & communication abilities. The CAPABL tool generates a color-coded career aptitude summary and a video portfolio the candidate can share with potential employers.
Beta Testing Partners Needed
We are currently looking for small to medium sized business to partner with to further test the CAPABL tool in a real world setting. If you have a small business you would like to nominate for the next phase of this very important project, place contact us at maisie@autismcareerpathways.com.
