Featured Autistic-Owned Enterprise
The Flybrave Foundation
John Almeda
One of our previously featured business owners and ACP Course Presenters, John Almeda just completed the 22nd running of the Rio Del Lago 100 Mile Endurance Run in the Sierra Mountains this past week; a TRULY remarkable physical accomplishment.
We thought this was a good time to re-spotlight John’s FlyBrave Foundation, a nonprofit that serves individuals with developmental disabilities through employment training, social and life skills workshops, and fitness programs. Along with his mother Vanessa Beiker, John runs the Flybrave Emporium in Sacramento CA, a 100% volunteer store where in addition to selling a wide variety of thrift items, they also offer unique jewelry designed and made by John and his autistic peers.
Please enjoy this feature story from CBS13 of Sacramento on the opening of the Flybrave Emporium, and be sure to visit them online at Flybrave.org:
