Profiles in Neurodiversity

This year for Autism Acceptance Month we wanted to do something a little different, a little more inclusive than most by featuring some members of the neurodivergent community that sometimes don’t get the attention they deserve . Earlier this month we invited autistic adults – particularly BIPOC, gender diverse and non-speaking autistics – on our social media platforms to share with us what they want the neurotypical world to know about them. Here are just a few of their responses.

March 31, 2023:

Our first episode features a 12-year old autism advocate, a civil engineer, a gamer, a flutist, a mariachi band member and Miss Florida, U.S.A for 2023.

A non-speaking aspiring journalist, an accomplished distance runner, a Jui-jitsu master and a voice over actor.
